Established in 1958, the Laurel Highlands Visitors Bureau is the official tourism promotion agency for the region in Southwestern Pennsylvania comprising Fayette, Somerset and Westmoreland Counties. Our mission is to promote tourism, tourism development, and the interests of the travel and hospitality industries of our region, thereby contributing to the economic growth and well being of the area. The Laurel Highlands Visitors Bureau is a non-profit, membership organization.

The purpose of the S.R. 30 and S.R. 981 Improvement Project is to address and improve both traffic congestion and safety in the vicinity of S.R. 30 and S.R. 981. The project area associated with the transportation improvements is entirely located within Unity Township, Westmoreland County, Pennsylvania.
