Our namesake

Arnold Palmer's hometown airport.

Arnold Palmer was born less than a mile from our runway. The world knew him as a golf legend, but he was also an accomplished pilot who learned to fly here in 1956 and logged nearly 20,000 hours in the cockpit. In 1999, with his blessing, the airport was renamed in his honor.
